I have an update on this issue on Hardy. Although no error message was
given, there is some misbehaviour that can be related to this bug.
When I move the slider forward and backward while the file is being
played, at some point the sound output is stopped, slider usually jumps
to the beginning of

I have the same problem with a same software configuration, can be reproduced
on any mp3 file I've tried. With VLC player there is no problem as far as I can
see.

Ok, I was a little bit surprised that I am to run rythymbox, but nevertheless
if it were to help - I did :)
