Same bug with all updates and upgrades on 18.04lts
have compared above files and they match mine

thanks for the help, every apt operation was complaining because it
could not parse gnuradio.xml.

It looks like the contents of the file were replaced wi
Looks like gnuradio.xml is supposed to either have the same contents as
gnuradio-grc.xml or be a (sym?)link to the latter.
Workaround: make it a symlink to stop the error from showing up on every
apt install.

i have the same error, and when i look into the file:
/usr/share/mime/packages/gnuradio.xml
the content is:
/usr/share/gnuradio/grc/freedesktop/gnuradio-grc.xml
in all the other xmls which are in this directory they begin which:
Could this be the error?
