I'm not sure whether to open a new bug for this, or add to this bug, but
since I'm the original reporter I decided to add to here.
It turned out that the problem I was having with puppetd was caused by 2
things. First the problem of no network being present, but second the
absence of a certificate
This problem still exists in the Hardy package (0.24.4-3 at this moment).
The upstream bug that is being linked to is a different one and has been fixed
in 0.24.2. The linked bug is about a situation where the puppetmaster refuses
the connection, the problem I am reporting is a situation where t
