Title:
Snap app
Is this still a problem with snaps in a more recent Ubuntu version and a
more recent snapd version?

Title:
Snap apps don't support input method
@Toan, I suggest creating a topic at https://forum.snapcraft.io/,
referencing this bug and mentioning you are using Ubuntu Budgie 18.04
and there are no (relevant) security policy denials. This will get more
people looking at the issue.

Well, after trying with several other apps, I came to the conclusion
that this problem is not the apps's fault, nor the snap. Maybe there's
something wrong with ubuntu budgie 18.04 since I could use ibus with
libreoffice last time in ubuntu 17.10, but in this version it doesn't
work at all.

Yo
@Toan, this is unrelated to input methods. You need only connect the
network-observe interface to make the denial go away: 'sudo snap connect
firefox:network-observe'.

I've just tried $ sudo journalctl --follow | grep audit with firefox
today and it returned this:
Thg 3 25 18:34:46 LastOrder audit[27210]: AVC apparmor="DENIED"
operation="open" profile="snap.firefox.firefox" name="/proc/27210/net/arp"
pid=27210 comm=4C696E6B204D6F6E69746F72 requested_mask="r" d
It 'hanging there' is expected-- it is tailing the log and will only
output security violations if it finds them. To be clear, you exercised
the snap and tried to use these input methods while the command was
running in the terminal?
If so, it sounds like there is something wrong with the snap its
I can't see any output, it was hanging there.
