Thank you for your bug report, that issue seems similar to
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-shell/issues/301 which upstream
fixed in 3.30 and in 3.28 git (but not in a release yet, though a git
snapshot is being SRUed)
** Package changed: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) => gnome-shell
(Ubuntu)

I'm on a desktop and experiencing this issue. I have a single-GPU dual-
monitor display set up. However, for me the issue persists even after
unplugging the second monitor, unfortunately.

Ha, interesting, I also use an external monitor. Next time the issue arises
(because right now the applet seems to be fine) I'll check if changing monitor

I think you should report the login screen issue separately.

I tested when i use only the laptop monitor the applet works fine. However when
the second monitor is attached the nm-applet stop working.
I don't know if this behaviour can be reproduced on any laptop.
Also, i wou
I think I have the same issue. The VPN switches always appear in the Off
state, although the VPN is active. I think this might be part of a wider
issue, because there are several problems with the network applet:
- In the menu, the wired connections has no name or icon, there is just
a blank line
Status changed to 'Confirmed' because the bug affects multiple users.
** Changed in: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu)
Status: New => Confirmed

This issue still persists to me. Really am I the only one ?
I would add some info to help you to replicate this issue. Please could
someone give me information on how to enable debugging and to analyze
nm-applet behaviours ?
