Ok, I don't understand how come, but it seems to work fine now. Possibly
sth to do with kernel as same thing used to happen with OpenSUSE and
Mint, including during installation (only for a few seconds though).

what you asked me for, however a strange thing has happened. Today I
managed to boot Ubuntu 5 times in a row without any problems (which was
unthinkable up until that point), therefore the logs may not contain any
