hwe/+bug/1760272?comments=all is a duplicate of this one, then I made
two useful tests:
- Kernel 4.15.0-041500-generic (from http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-
ppa/mainline/v4.15/) works fine.
- proposed kernel (linux-image-generic/art
Would it be possible for you to test the proposed kernel and post back if it
resolves this bug?
See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
enable and use -proposed.
Thank you in advance!

Freezes XPS 13

Same problem for me with XPS 15 (9550). 4.13.0-25 has no problems,
upgraded to 4.13.0-31 and hard-freezes in a minute or so. Currently
trying to upgrade to 4.13.0-32 to test.
Since it is a hard freeze, is there any file I can check for a log after
booting into the previous (4.13.0-25) kernel?

I've no problems running 4.13.0-25-generic on my XPS 13 with Ubuntu
17.10
I first noticed the freeze during boot after an upgrade to
4.13.0-30-generic. Updates to
4.13.0-31-generic and just now to
4.13.0-32-generic (4.13.0-32.35) did not help to fix the problem.
Booting with all these kernels

The previous kernel was fine and going back to it I'm fine. That is all
I know.

Did this issue start happening after an update/upgrade? Was there a
prior kernel version where you were not having this particular problem?
Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer
