Lenovo has introduced several touchpad models.
Please try install kernel linux-image-4.13.0-1021-oem to check if it is fixed.
This kernel version had merged the elantech patch.

I believe this may also be the same issue I'm having with my Lenovo
T480s, which has an Elantech touchpad and I see the same error on boot
from a "dmesg | grep elantech". I'm running 17.10, current kernel
version is 4.13.0-36-generic, and I have the same symptoms (no
multitouch, two finger scroll,
