That's great to hear that it's still in use. I haven't done any work on
it since ages. I have ideas in my mind, but I don't have the time to
realize them.
Your wish isn't the first one in this direction. Somebody asked for a
GIMP plugin already. But as I said above, I have nearly freetime to code
Just to let you know, compiling gollage under Ubuntu 9.10 is easy.
I had already some C/C++ compiler plus automake, pkgconfig and stuff like that.
I needed to install:
libmagickcore-dev
libmagickwand-dev
libglade2-dev
And it was enough to compile. Hope this will be the same for others.

I tried compiling ImageMagick from source and I had the exact same error
as samotham. I solved it by installing libperl-dev as well as
libperl5.10 AND running ldconfig after installation. Then, compiling
gollage doesn't throw up the missing dependencies and everything works
smoothly. I'm generating
I couldn't compile gollage correctly on my Ubuntu 8.04.2
As gollage couldn't compile for MagickCore/MagickWand reasons, I first
removed imagemagick package then tried to install it from source
available on the website.
$ ./configure
seemed fine
$ make
it ended with the following error :
LD_RU
I was able to get Gollage to run under Ubuntu 8.10. First I had to
install ImageMagick-6.4.8-3... downloaded from the ImageMagick website.
Next I had to build ImageMagick from the source.
After uncompressing the source; in the ImageMagick-6.4.8.3 folder type:
./configure
make

New version is out. I had to change some configure flags because of new
ImageMagick. Maybe it's now possible to generate it without any problems
on Ubuntu. Can someone please test it or provide a package for Ubuntu?
Thanks in advance.

After a break of one year, I have continued to develop gollage. Their is
already a new version on my harddisk, ready to release in the next days.
I will continue with development of gollage, I have some really great
ideas in my mind. It would be really cool to have gollage included in
Ubuntu or in
Hi!
I just found gollage's website and think it's an interesting software.
Although development might have been stopped: Is there still a chance to see it
in your PPA, Julian? It's not easy to compile for beginners because of the
dependencies not included in Ubuntu, so it would be nice to have de

Hi,
I'm the author of gollage. I have several mails from Ubuntu users, which can't
compile gollage, because Wand (imagemagick C API) isn't found through
pkgconfig. It seems, that Ubuntu doesn't install the pkgconfig file for
imagemagick's Wand. Is this correct?
