The next step is to find out if we need to disable both ASPM L0s and ASPM L1,
or just disable one of them can solve our issue.

have given it up to easily on the first try but I can say now that GOT
IT WORKING!!!

What kernel version did you use with `pcie_aspm=off`?
There's bug in older kernel that `pcie_aspm=off` doesn't turn ASPM off.
Please use mainline kernel with that kernel parameter.

Hi Guys,
Just a note that may be helpful for tracking this down here is what I
found out lately.
If in "drivers/net/wireless/marvell/mwifiex/cmdevt.c" file,
"mwifiex_cmd_timeout_func(struct timer_list *t)" function I comment out
these:

Yes, just tried it and unfortunately no help, same coredump (let me know

Have you tried kernel parameter `pcie_aspm=off`? There are some PCIe
WiFi modules don't like ASPM L0s.

I'm suffering this same problem on Surface Pro 2017 and would really
like to find a solution as using Linux is the only option for me to not
throw it out through the window as it has a corrupted memory an so can
only use Linux which allows me to skip the affected area using memmap.
