Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue that you reported is one that should be
reproducible with the live environment of the Desktop CD of the
development release - Hardy Heron. It would help us greatly if you could
test with it so we can work
Keep in mind error is MAIL FROM command failed: client does not have
permissions to send as this sender. Which says to me that the "from"
information is erroneous... somehow...

I tried that too, to no avail. I just double check what I did. Tried some
different possiblities like
ad\username which does not work at all ( prompts for password three times
and fails)
or ad/username also does not work at all (same as above)
logon and NTLM/SPA both receive the same error message
I thought I could duplicate this today because I had a call from
someone who also could not send while using Evolution in
the office. To make a long story short, I deleted the account
in Edit -> Preferences and then added the account again
and it worked ... fortunately for him but unfortunately fo
right.. and the problem exists trying to access it internally.

It is my understanding that you have to use VPN to access Exchange
2007 externally. You wouldn't need it internally because you are
part of the network when you log on into your system. From home
you need to become part of that network virtually.

Evolution Will not send mail via Exchange 200
We don't use a VPN internally, so I doubt that vpn is the issue.

Yes I recieve mail over SSL encrypted IMAP connection

not work

Nope we're using encrypted transport for smtp. I tried about every combo I
could think of.
On Feb
SMTP encryption is TLS
Authentication type is NTLM/SPA

Sorry, one more thing -- I wish I could edit my comments.
To send mail I must have a VPN connection
to my server. WIthout it I can receive, but not send. Perhaps
that applies to your case.

Regarding my question: I am referring to how I have it set-up. I
see that you require authentication and encryption for sending
and I am wondering if that is the problem.
