Seeing as this is a low priority even for a wishlist bug and that we
don't really currently have the resources in Kubuntu to do this, I am
closing this bug here. If and when the KDE Network Management team
implements this feature, we will pick it up in the next Kubuntu release.

Migrating to the new plasmoid, which doesn't have this feature either.
The upstream report for the wishlist item is assigned to the plasmoid

As of Feisty, knetworkmanager is included by default. An icon is always
displayed in the system tray which shows network status. However, this
icon has no indication of activity. I'm changing the package to
knetworkmanager so this is now a wishlist to add indication of network
activity to the kn
