I'm able to reproduce this issue on Debian 4.9 - Stretch. Workaround is
to explicitly include the snap binary path into $PATH via .bashrc.

I can't reproduce this, /snap/bin is in $PATH after a reboot for me. (I
installed a new stretch VM to test).
