After Olivier reported a clean fresh install showed no such issues,
tried the closest to that I could do on my existing install, which was
moving out the way my current user Chromium .cache/chromium and
.config/chromium directories.
Started Chromium and it worked as expec
Just tested in a clean and up-to-date 20.04 VM, fully set up in Spanish.
I was able to successfully import

without an error.

What I did was giving up on the FNMT and using another certificate
authority.
Since I'm no longer using Ubuntu, I'm unsubscribing from this bug

Hmm, this is weird...one thing that caught my eye when trying to import
the intermediate CA certificate by just following the link below is the
window that opened had the "Details" text in red background...which
tends to not be a good sign.
So considering I had the browser running in Spanish langu

You're right. You have another browsers... and certificates work on
firefox. I ment is not low priority for Chromium developers...Several
spanish institutional pages have outdated certificates. Mayte that's
also the problem in this page...Kind regards

When I click on the link it says "you do not have permission to view the
requested page". Any idea why is that?
And the importance is low because Chromium isn't core software, and
certificates aren't a core functionality of it
