Then at least the "sync mouse" checkbox should be disabled -- the user
wouldn't know that this feature is not working.

Confirming. If "Hide original mouse pointer" is unchecked, the behaviour
is even wierder and totally uncontrollable.

It seems that this bug appeares only when "scale the mouse poniter"
option is turned off.
The cursor also appears incorrectly, see the attachement: it changes its
shape not in the edit box, but near it.
