Tested again with todays (28.08.2016) daily iso. The entire disk
installation finishes now correctly but in the end the system fails to
boot due to Bug #1606089.
Installation with manual partitioning works again as long as an ext2
boot partition is used.

Nope, it does not work. Just tested it. So this must be a regression,
installation with manual partition worked on earlier dailies.
