Eclipse requires 2 Gb of RAM to be compiled successfully.
Anyway, it builds fine in Ubuntu buildds.

This bug seems to appear when there is not enough memory available.
I read at
http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/pkg-java-maintainers/2007-October/013578.html
that installing java-gcj-compat should reduce the memory used.
