This problem with Impress still exists in intrepid, using openoffice
.org-core 1:2.4.1-11ubuntu2.1
I'm using an old slow computer so problem is noticeable with even an
extremely simple presentation, ie. 2 slides, each slide has 2 large
words, 5 seconds per slide, no special transitions, repeating
