I've reported a packaging bug in Debian BTS [1].
Also, I have checked and some Ubuntu changes can be dropped. The bugs
with non-existing thread killing and with error messages that don't show
up were fixed in 1.0b-1.1ubuntu1. They were sent to Debian and are
included in debian/patches/04_http404.p

but I don't understand why we need a merge?
I think all previous Ubuntu merges can be dropped, and I don't think it is
worth carrying a delta just to correct some editorial mistake.
Can you please:
1. Report the packaging mistake (inclusion of backup files) to Debian (
I'm sorry. The last upload contained the changelog~ file, which was a
backup. This is the correct one.
