i understand why these bugs need to be closed proactively for tracking
purposes, but i see this same issue on a regular basis and would like to
track the fix. does anyone know if this bug was refiled based on the
instructions above and can point me to the new thread?

Only after renaming avi file from CAPTURE1.AVI to capture.avi it was possible
to scan it using program Themonospot v.0.6.0.

I have disabled Desktop effects and tried to play avi file.
Same behavior as before with Totem crashing and gdm session restarting with
logo screen.

ProcCmdline is about a divx file that plays without problem.
I couldn't debug problem cause X restarts and don't give time to track or
record a log file.
Is there a log file on Gutsy that could register step by step this session ?
Is Apport disabled in order to avoid track this bug report ?
