Confirming from my side. Since I added firefox-next PPA I have not seen
the problem again: both Firefox 47 and 48 have worked fine for me.

I have used firefox-next ppa and in my case it solved the problem.
Now Firefox officially hit v47 I have purged this ppa and kept up with
the "normal" update channel.
And no problem so far.

seems to be working fine.

Confirmed, same thing happening in a Thinkpad T440p, intel i7-4800MQ.
Today I upgraded Firefox and immediately afterwards, the browser started
showing similar glitches. I have rebooted the computer and the problems
are still here, making usage of Firefox very annoying.
