Public bug reported:

In Ubuntu 16.04 beta2 updated until 16-04-2016, Texmaker does not
respond to many shortcuts:
What is working:
All general-purpose text handling shortcuts: Ctrl+C/V/X/Z/Y

What is not working: All the rest that tried, including:
File/window handling: Ctrl+S/O/W
Print: Ctrl+P
Compile shortcuts (LaTeX text engines etc): F1,F6,F11

In 14.04 (Texmaker 4.1, compiled with Qt 4.8.4) next to each menu item
text, there is the corresponding shortcut displayed in gray. For
example, in the "File" menu, there the submenu "Save
Ctrl+S". Here, there is no text for the shortcut; it is simple "Save".
