Dear Chris and Uli,
I have installed Lubuntu 16.04 on another disk with pokini1. Running
kernel 4.4.0 does not produce the bug anymore. But, the Gui is still
broken, just no more kernel NULL pointer dereference error. I had to
change the display also and it is not HDMI.
I had gotten following in
hjl, could you please keep testing successively older kernels from
4.7-rc2 to see if one newer than 4.6-rc4 allows a test?

I faced the same issue with an embedded LEX 2I260D-H26 on Ubuntu 16.04
both in kernels 4.6. I faced an issue where (when not blacklisting the
gma500_gfx driver via /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf), the HDMI screen

I have installed the 4.7rc2 kernel like 4.6rc6 before but
unfortunately the new kernel ist not started, the grub menu has
