an issue in a more recent version of Kubuntu (such as Kubuntu 8.10 or
the upcoming release Kubuntu 9.04) please reopen this bug.

1. run system in recovery mode
2. write command :
mcedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
(if there is no mcedit instal mc by : apt-get install mc)
3.find line :
Driver "radeon" (or "ati")
change "radeon" or "ati" to "vga"
4. write command :
init 5
5. paste here xorg.conf :) and /var/log/Xorg.log (all as
i would attach it but i cant get to it
every time i start kubuntu all i get is a black screen
safe mode works until i try to load kde
and i cant upload anything to here without any gui

1. CTRL+ALT+F1 (go to console)
2. ALT+F7 (go to X org)
Hint:
Driver (?) didn't set up proper resolution/refresh rate ,
