I reinstalled the
/var/cache/apt/archives/kdelibs4c2a_4%3a3.5.8-0ubuntu3.1_i386.deb
package recently. Now it works. Sorry for the noise.

Me too, however with a different effect:
Konqueror uses far too big fonts and after reducing its font size
(pressing 3-5 times ctrl--) it is workable, but some contents is missing
and some links are not coloured as usual.
After downgrading (with dpkg -i ) from
/var/cache/apt/archives/kdelibs4c2a
