I've had random system freezes since an update on 24 January. I've done one
other update since then.
I have Compiz running, an Nvidia GeForce4 MX440, no problems till that update.
My dpkg.log for that period:

I'm having the same problem, following an upgrade from Feisty to Gutsy.
I don't have Compiz running, and I'm using an Nvidia video card.
