Hi Stuart
if you look at the path where you run the commands, in this case your home
directory, you'll find that after run the commands the files asoundrc.log,
dmesg.log, aplay.log, etc were created, those files contain the output of the
commands i ask you to run, those files are the ones you ha
Hi buddy my real confusion is this, every time I cut and paste the comands I
get nothing , here is what I mean
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ aplay --list-devices > aplay.log
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
Password:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo lspnp -v > lspnp.log
sudo: lspnp: command
Hi Stuart
I should be more clear, the "[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$" i put before each command,
is just for your reference, in your case it's "[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$", is not
part of the command, i thought it would help you to identify the prompt, but
seems it just confuse you :-D. don't worry about it, n
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ aplay --list-devices > aplay.log
bash: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$: command not found
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
bash: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$: command not found
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo lspnp -v
Hi there
yup, you miss something, you should include the aplay.log file :-D, which was
created with that command, look the content of the file to see what i mean, the
">" operator redirect the output of the command to the aplay.log file, in this
case.
please include the requested information in
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ aplay --list-devices > aplay.log
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo aplay --list-devices > aplay.log
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$
neither of these seemed to have deemed effect have I missed something? I
just copied and paste it in terminal
