Unity is a shell for launching and switching apps. There is no version
of Unity that “offers a tool for upgrades”. So I still have no idea what
this bug report is about.
Unity 7 and earlier run on systems where you use Software Updater to
install both updates and upgrades.
Unity 8 runs on systems
I meant that to update the packages if you are using unity 8 must go to
unity because unity 7 because unity8 does not offer a tool for upgrades

I designed the Software Updater on Ubuntu for PC, and the “Updates”
panel in Ubuntu Touch System Settings. Unfortunately, I don’t understand
this bug report. What do you mean by “having to go to unity 7 to upgrade
packages on unity 8”?
