Title:
Elasticsearch init scripts fails test silently
To manage notifications about this bug g
'/etc/init.d/elasticsearch' actually source '/etc/default/elasticsearch'
in which all variables are commented... and so does START_DAEMON.
I commented the test line in /etc/init.d/elasticsearch to fix this silly issue.
Then "systemctl daemon-reload" and restart.

Title
I narrowed it down some. This script is broken for systemd. I had to
switch the box to upstart-sysv. Seriously, now that systemd is the
default, this package should be considered broken.
