I have subsequently determined that upgrade is not involved. This issue
reoccurred frequently during normal operation. I have disconnected the
UPS status connector (USB) from the PC and continued processing in a
"degraded" mode with regard to power status. It appears to be a problem
with the power
Happened to me when upgrading from 15.10 to 16.04 Beta 2. The UPS
battery was fully charged, but during the upgrade the battery icon
showed the battery as fully discharged and the computer was shut down
before the upgrade completed.
