This happens to me regularly, even with Intrepid. Can't we get some
attention on this one? It's often very confusing even for a non-normal
user. nm-applet sits there spinning as though it's trying to connect
when it's really waiting for me to confirm this hidden password dialog
with -- get this
Confirmed...this has almost always been the case on my Gutsy and Hardy
notebooks.

I can confirm this. When I connect to my campus' secure wireless
network, the WPA enterprise login window opens behind other windows.
I've failed to notice it on several occasions and have been left
wondering what was going on with my wireless.
