Ubuntu 16.04 (xenial) reached end-of-standard-support on April 29, 2021.
Ubuntu 15.10 (wily) reached end-of-life on July 28, 2016.
Further to comment #4 fixed upstream over seven years ago so now included in
all currently supported Kubuntu releases.

default which both bad UX and changes the previously implemented
behavior.
