work either. It has to be done using /dev nodes.
This can be done in "System settings -> Advanced -> Disk and filesystems", but
that is only a workaround, not a solution.

feature as a distribution, so we are closing this report. Worry not,

This still applies to the Hardy Heron (using the beta ATM), and the solution to
the problem is really simple, but since ubuntu and kubuntu shares base
packages, it may not be the best idea to have kubuntu do it's own thing with
/etc/fstab.
Anyway, you can do what ubuntu does with UUID= using /d
