strace shows that a "sudo" child process hangs on reading fd 8, which
points to /dev/tty. Seems like an error in the code calling sudo.
Really frustrating that if calling hp-plugin interactively with sudo,

Updated hplip to the new version (3.16.2) and installation finished
without errors. Installed without errors the plugin, too. I noticed
that the correction of this bug was in the release notes, so this new

Same problem.
I tried on both gui and console, hplip and plugin 3.15.7 and 3.15.9,
both still hanged after "Number of files to install: 38".
After a Ctrl+C, shows:
