The attachment "patching simafm.py" seems to be a patch. If it isn't,

Here is a fix for 0.9.2 and 0.10.0 version.
Find simafm.py on your system:
dpkg -L mpd-sima | grep simafm.py
get in the same directory and patch the file:
patch -p5 < patch

1. Using the mpd-sima package 0.13 (intended for jessie) from
http://codingteam.net/project/sima
2. Use the python3-musicpd backport available in the c42-backport ppa
The python3-musicpd can be backported from vivid to trusty without any
chan
