Doing some plug/unplug with Nexus7, I got a black screen situation.

doing some hotplugging the phone seems robust, always changing modes from
full screen to windowed mode, and no rebooting. However, the result of the
hotplug (in) doesn't always seem to result in a frame on the monitor
