That sounds strange to me! I don't see where is the error.
I even installed the feisty package for gnucash and gnucash-common in
Gutsy to test it and the icon appears! It looks like the problem just
happens in Feisty..
the permissions for /usr/share/pîxmaps/gnucash-icon-48x48.png is the
same on G

This seems to affect 2.2.1-1ubuntu4~feisty1. The taskbar icon/window
icon is back, the but Gnome desktop icon is now gone.
