after uninstalling fglrx and installing the open source driver using an
ATI 1300X pro card and TV out for my monitor. I was fiddling with the
Screen and Graphics app to change the screen resolution. TV out is
currently broken

Screens and Graphics doesn't start, reporting a crash of that program.
Running under Parallels 5584, the default resolution (1152x720?) works,
but changing it garbles the display. Under the "screen resolution"
preference, the resolution is set to "off". Trying to reconfigure the
xserver results i
