I have recreated this issue using the Edubuntu AMD64 daily build from
20080201.1. The system I tested on has a nVidia Corporation GeForce
8300 GS with PCI ID [10de:0423]. I was unable to see any usplash output
when choosing "Start or Install" and "Check CD for defects" from the
CD's boot menu.
