the default repository kernel (not mainline/upstream/3rd party) via a terminal:

same as previous poster. I've seen this once each day after installing.
Kern.log and syslog baloon until drive is full. Kernel / system locks up

Based on the comment by Ilia Mirkin in Vincent's bug, I tested the
current mainline (4.2.0-rc2) using Ubuntu's config (more or less
following the procedure here
