Thanks for the info and for the link. Then I guess it is ok to close
this thread as Invalid.
Only thing that bothers me is that in the future it may be necessary to
consider adding copy to clipboard feature to the content hub as some
applications don't have address bar and yet it may be a good fea
Ah, the shortening of URLs while focused is a bug indeed (bug #1472161,
it’s in fact a recent regression), which is being fixed as I type. Once
fixed, you’ll be able to copy the full URL.

Almost. It would have if Web Browser wouldn't shorten urls. Now for
example instead of this: "https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source
/webbrowser-app/+bug/1472585" i only copy this: "bugs.launchpad.net" :'(

I see what you mean. In theory the content hub should catter for most
use cases (send a link by e-mail or share it with social networks).
However there is also a way to just copy it to the clipboard: tap on the
address bar, it gets focus and the entire URL is selected, then long
press anywhere on t

the currently loaded page, preferably using the menu in the top right
corner of the app. There is already a sharing button so it would be nice
to include it in it somehow.

There is already a "copy link" entry in the contextual menu (long-press
on a hyperlink, then tap "Copy Link"). The link is in the clipboard, and
you can paste it in other applications’ text fields (just tested that it
works with the messaging app).
