The situation is much better since the latest updates today (linux
2.6.22-13.40-generic)
My PC does not anymore reboot when I try to shutdown or hibernate from Gnome:
- Shutdown: my hard drive stops, the splash screen stay on screen, but no
automatic reboot.
- Hibernate (suspend to disk): my hard
is it possible that this may be due to a miss wiring of the front panel
buttons/LED wires to the motherboard.
i recently added a case fan, and may have miss done the font panel
connections. the power, restart buttons and LEDs seem to act right, but
may it is related.

Same problem with Edubuntu 7.10 Beta, with an ASUS CUV4X-E Motherboard with
Pentium III processor 866 MHz.
It also reboots when I try to Hibernate.
This evening, I can just attach a file with the result of the "dmesg" command
on my PC.
