The Ubuntu Kernel Team is planning to move to the 2.6.27 kernel for the
upcoming Intrepid Ibex 8.10 release. As a result, the kernel team would
appreciate it if you could please test this newer 2.6.27 Ubuntu kernel.
There are one of two ways you should be able to test:
1) If you are comfortable
After Intrepid Alpha 3, the EIP error not happen anymore. I`m getting
only "kernel panic" (BUG https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/246067).

in third boot i get the EIP error message again, but seems not the same error...
in the fourth boot, i get a error liked to the first boot

I have the same issue with new Intrepid Ibex Alpha 1 ( kernel
2.6.26-2-generic ) running over Virtualbox 1.6.2 (Sun version)
adding "pci=noacpi nobiospnp noapic nolapic" on boot solve the problem

It was under Gutsy Beta, but this bug was existing under Feisty.
I just "solved" it yesterday with theses boot options, at the live-CD boot :
pci=noacpi nobiospnp noapic nolapic
now it's working but I had an other kernel panic during the first restart,
after updating
