Trying to generate a backtrace with gdb (--sync seemed to not work):
(unity-settings-daemon:28533): Gdk-ERROR **: The program
'unity-settings-daemon' received an X Window System error.
This probably reflects a bug in the program.
The error was 'XI_BadDevice (invalid Device parameter)'.
