it's ok if I run 'listen' without a music filename, but if I run 'listen
-p xxx.mp3', I'll get the following message, regardless of 'LC_ALL=C"

Not a bug. You need either gstreamer0.10-plugins-bad or gstreamer0.10
-plugins-ugly.
Listen could warn you about that, but it's not a bug, it would be a
feature ;)

I'm using gutsy with all packages up to date, and couldn't reproduce this bug,
listen can add song an reproduce mp3 too,
Could you please provide the version of listen you're using, and any related
package.
