Hardy Heron Alpha5 was recently released. It contains an updated version
of the Intel driver. You can download and try the new Hardy Heron Alpha5
Live CD from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com/releases/hardy/alpha-5/ . If you
can, please verify if this bug still exists or not and report back your
results.
I have opened a new bug here (tested with Hardy alpha 4 livecd):

Maybe it is linked, as it is the same kind of graphics card (it's not a
laptop, in my case).
