Same here, trying to use my tv-out with nvidia-glx, xinerama, and I'm in Gutsy.
All I had to do was switch back to metacity, it didn't affect anything else.
I've attached my xorg.conf file if it helps.

However, it managed to recover fairly gracefully, and while the GUI
