In the meantime the headset had died so I had to buy a new one. Sadly
Motorola does not manufacture these anymore so I bought another brand
and that one is connecting as expected. So I cannot provide a feedback
anymore and considering how old the headset is and how (not) popular it
was, most probab
still valid?

Title:
Ubuntu Aquaris E4.5 does not connect to Moto
Thanks for looking into it!
On my desktop the bluetooth is not working last two or three years:-( So
I tried over ssh on the phone:
Bluetooth enabled in system-settings, headset in search mode (awaiting
pairing) ...
root@ubuntu-phablet:/home/phablet# hcitool scan
Scanning ...
00:0D:FD:33
Thanks, do you have an ubuntu desktop installation? Does
pairing/connecting works there? Could you try connecting on the phone
using the bluez command line utilities?
