Since this fix was not making it upstream I created module distros -

It also fixes the non-functioning mouse right click. The bug and the fix were

Can you provide some information on the status of the patch with regards
to getting it merged upstream? Has it been sent upstream, what sort of
feedback has it received, is it getting applied to a subsystem
maintainer's tree, etc?

Fixing this is a simpler matter of registering the new USB ids with the
driver.
The new id is '0x273'. The vendor id hasn't changed.
On my non-ubuntu kernel this works:
