For Jaunty we've moved on to -180, and there are no plans to SRU a newer
version for Intrepid (as per the SRU team policies, binary proprietary
drivers cannot be updated in stable releases.) You can obtain newer
versions of this driver from nvidia's site.

WIth desktop effects enabled, when shutting down the machine, I don't
get the progress bar as usual, but instead I just get a messed up
version of my desktop background, with lots of lines and garbled colors.

The problem persists in completely updated version (8.10). Furthermore,
since a while back, it does not shut down but simply hangs there and
does not respond to any input. I have to kill the machine by holding
down the power button.

It still persists in Intrepid alpha, but I want to upgrade all the way
before I do those logs, and I haven't had the time.
